SUNDAY
We meet 10.30am each Sunday at Church of The Cross.
On the first and third Sundays of the month, we have Holy Communion. On these Sundays the 5-11s groups has activities. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays the 11-18s group has a session together.
OTHER SERVICES
Mid Week Communion: We have a mid-week Communion Service at 12pm usually on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (but check the list in the church, as it can sometimes change). This is a short, simple and reflective Anglican service open to all. (St Paul's on Bentham Road has one on Tuesday at 10am. William Temple on Eynsham Drive has one on Thursdays at 10.30am.)
Mid Week Group: We run a mid week evening group in term time (currently 7.30pm-8.30pm), where we have a time of praise and worship, a short time studying the Bible, and some prayer together. This is designed to a mid-week lift for those who can't come on Sundays, but also another option for those who are able to. (Again, some weeks this does not run, so check the dates in the church.)
OTHER ACTIVITIES
The church is also regularly used by the community during the week for activities.
* Bexley Council hire the hall out most days from about 9.30am to 3pm, and various mums and children's groups are run in the church. For more information pick up a leaflet from the church, or call Greenmead Community Centre (Lime Row, off Yarnton Way Erith DA18 4HW) on 020 8320 1618. (Fax: 020 8312 4535)
* Rainbows and Browines use the building, and have done for many years. Rainbows meet on Mondays at 5.30pm, and Brownies meet at 5.30pm on Wednesdays.
* Jonathan, the minister at Church Of The Cross, is often at the church office Mondays through to Thursdays for anybody who wants to talk about baptism, confirmations and weddings, or anything else you may wish to discuss. He will always have coffee, tea and biscuits available! Mornings are usually best, but it is always worth popping your head in to see! Otherwise, you can talk to him at the end of the Sunday service and arrange for a time to meet and chat properly. Alternatively, contact him via the details on the Contact page.
